Although my career path has not always been a straight one, each experience I've been offered has influenced my design approach and culminated in the unique set of skills that I bring to the table as a designer:

Over 16 years of practice as a Residential Designer has brought me the gift of experience, patience and relationship building.  The satisfaction of collaboration resulting in good design is still what I strive for in every client interaction.

Commercial design experience (Austin-Kuester and Adamstein + Demetriou) taught me to find common ground and interact with clients at every level in a professional manner.

Masters Degree in Fine Art and Interior Design (Mount Vernon College, George Washington University) gave me the context and ability to express my creative side.

Change Management Consulting (Accenture) provided me with a business-minded approach to design, giving me the skills to communicate effectively with clients and attend to the details of design in a prompt and professional manner.

Liberal Arts Education (BA, Vanderbilt University) gave me an ability to approach a problem from both an analytical and aesthetic perspective, as well as an appreciation for the many factors that influence our preferences in life.
